Beijing Central Axis Biking Tour

Today you will cycle around Beijing's Central Axis, which is dotted with significant palace complexes and modern architecture. You will be picked up from your hotel by your guide who will lead you along Chang'an Street to Tian'anmen Square. Surrounding Tiananmen Square are the Great Hall of the People, Tiananmen Gate and Chairman Mao's Memorial Hall. After visit the National Grand Theater, we will visit the famous Forbidden City which is a magnificent imperial palace that was home to 24 Emperors between 1420 and 1911. Then we move on to Bell and Drum Tower to visit the old time telling centre. The Hutong area is next with its many alleys and courtyard houses and of course its local market. After the local Hutong Market, we will arrive at Bird's Net and Water Cube, the emblems of China's Olympic history. Transfer to the hotel. (Attraction Fee Includes the Forbidden City and Hutong) Note: The bike hire shop is near the Donghuamen Gate, about 10 minutes' walk from Wangfujing street.
