Chinese Traditional Medicine Experience

Pick you up from your hotel in Beijing around 9:00am and transfer to the Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. Upon arrival, you will firstly be arranged a meeting with an old doctor for a brief introduction of traditional Chinese medical science. Then you will be shown to a therapy room for an experience of Chinese acupuncture and tuina. They will make a brief introduction to the practices of acupuncture, Chinese herbology and measures to protect the health. Then go to the Pharmacy Department and Out Patient Department to see how Chinese doctors make the medicine and making registration for the patients. After lunch, visit the hutong area in old Beijing by taking richshaw. Then transfer to a world famous Chinese pharmacy named Tongrentang (Tong Ren Tang) Pharmacy which was first set up in 1669. It was the designated brand of health care for imperial court in qing dynasty( 1644 - 1911). Now it has a history of over 300 years. You will return to your hotel after the tour.
