You will be picked up from your hotel at about 8:30am by your guide who will accompany you on your one day tour. Then head for Badaling Great Wall. It climbs across superb mountain scenery 70km NW of Beijing. This very popular section, the first part of the Great Wall that was opened to the public, has been extensively restored. The battlements and watchtowers are high and steep in places, and provide wonderful views across the hills. Wear good walking shoes, and protection from the weather. Hiking for 3 to 4 hours. Have lunch at a local restaurant. After the late lunch, you'll be transferred back to your hotel in downtown Beijing.
