You will be picked up from your hotel at about 8:30am by your guide who will accompany you on your one day tour. Then, head for Simatai Great Wall, about 120 km northeast of Beijing. This dizzying section of the Great Wall is for the very fit - it's extremely steep, and unrestored, therefore quite challenging in places. The reward for the energetic who are prepared to tackle it is that it's also very beautiful, far less crowded and has some fascinating architecture. Hiking for 3 to 4 hours. Have lunch at a local restaurant. After the late lunch, you'll be transferred back to your hotel in downtown Beijing.
