This is an organized group.A tour that offers a glimpse of Hong Kong past and present. The first stop is at the Yuen Yuen Institute, which houses the 3 main religious practices of the Hong Kong Chinese population - Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. From there, the tour proceeds into the countryside past banana plantations to Tai Mo Shan, Hong Kong's tallest mountain for a panoramic view of Hong Kong Island and new industrial towns in the New Territories. Passing through the countryside of Shek Kong and Lam Chuen Valley, the tour makes a stop at Luen Wo, a traditional rural market where colorful stalls are piled high with dried fish, herbs and vegetables. From there, we head to Luk Keng a nearby Hakka village and a bird sanctuary where Chinese pond heron's nest. Then it is on to Sam Mun Tsai to look at how local fisher folk breed fish in submerged cages. The tour concludes with a Chinese lunch at the Sha Tin race Course - a state-of-the-art construction.
